Tampa, Florida (Vocus/PRWEB) February 24, 2011

Syndicated and Internet talk radio host Bubba the Love Sponge®'s third annual "Bubba's Bikes for Badges" community fundraiser is set for Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 10 am to 2 pm ET at Jim's Harley-Davidson, 2805 54th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The popular annual event features a charity motorcycle ride, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, a poker crawl with a $2,500 prize, a bike show and a bikini bike wash, among other activities.

"Each year, this event helps us to support the families of those who risk their lives protecting our communities," said Bubba. Motorcycle enthusiasts, radio listeners, members of the "Bubba Army" and the entire community made the 2009 and 2010 Bubba's Bikes for Badges events huge successes.

This year, funds will be designated for the families of three local police officers recently killed in the line of duty: Sgt. Thomas Baitinger, Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz, and Officer David Crawford. Since 2008, the Bubba the Love Sponge® Foundation has raised and distributed more than $160,000 to families of fallen Florida law enforcement officers.

Advance registration for Bubba's Bikes for Badges is $15 ($20 day of event), and can be made online at http://www.btlsfoundation.org. Corporate and listener donations can also be made at the site.

On site registration for riders and vehicles at Jim's Harley-Davidson on March 20 will open at 9:00 am, with "kickstands up" at 10 am.
